The Gift for Mom on Mother’s Day

Natisha lived at Burrow street with her mother and Nindy, her young sister. Her father had died three years ago, so her mother worked as a seamstress. Nindy was a student in high school, and therefore Natisha worked as a waitress at a restaurant to help his mother to pay for Nindy’s school fees.
One day Natisha’s mother was sitting and massaging her feet in front of her manual sewing machine. Suddenly Natisha came to her mother, then she massaged her mother’s feet and said, “The manual sewing machine make your feet sore, isn’t it?”
“No, I’m just a little tired,” her mother said.
“Don’t lie to me, Mom,” Natisha said, “I promise that I’ll buy an electric sewing machine for you, Mom.”
“You don’t need to do it, dear,” her mother said, “It will be better if you use your money to meet your necessities and Nindy’s necessities.”
Natisha smiled and nodded, but she promised in her heart that she would buy electric sewing machine for her mother. She hoped that she can buy it and give it as a gift for her mother on Mother’s Day on December 22nd.
Natisha went into her room, she saw the calendar and counted the days. She only had time for two months to raise money, but her money still half the price of an electric sewing machine. She looked up in prayer, “Oh God, I hope that I can buy an electric sewing machine for my mother, give me ease, please. Amen.”
Natisha worked hard to raise the money, she got a new job as a cashier in a minimarket at night. So she worked as a waitress in the morning until noon and worked as a cashier in the night.
Time passed, two days before Mother’s Day, Natisha counted her money that she got from her hard work, but her money was still not enough. Suddenly Nindy gave Natisha a little money, she smiled and said, “It’s money to increase your money to buy an electric sewing machine. Is it enough?”
Natisha took the money and counted it. She then said, “Yes, this is more than enough, but where did you get this money?”
“I saved a little money in my pocket and worked as a typist in a small office when I got home from school,” Nindy said.
“Oh, my dear,” Natisha said, “You shouldn’t do it. Your job is to learn not to work.”
“I also want to make our mother happy, after all, I only worked there for a month.”
The next day, Natisha and Nindy went to the sewing machine store and bought an electric sewing machine. Natisha told to the seller to deliver it to the house of Natisha’s mother tomorrow.
Mother’s Day arrived, when Natisha, Nindy, and their mother was eating their breakfast, someone knocked on the door of their home. Natisha and Nindy pretended that they didn’t hear it, so their mother moved from his seat and went to open the door. When the door was opened by their mother, there was someone who drove an electric sewing machine at door.
“Excuse me, is this house of Mrs. Natisha’s mother?” he said, “Mrs. Natisha said, ‘Please give my mother this electric sewing machine on Mother’s Day at Burrow street,’ when she bought it with her young sister yesterday.”
Suddenly Natisha and Nindy came to their mother and hugged her.
“Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!” said Nindy.
“We wish you always be happy, Mom!” said Natisha.
Their mother smiled and said, “Thanks my dears, I’m grateful to have you all.”
